Originally a personal trainer and nutrition coach, Trey’s been coaching people to be happier and healthier for over 16 years. He holds a BA (Hons) in English and Philosophy, is a certified Master Health and Nutrition Coach, and a Level 4 Personal Trainer. After running his own fitness and nutrition business for a decade, he spent six years coaching and developing curriculum at Precision Nutrition. Along the way, he became especially skilled in motivational interviewing, the psychology of change, and self-compassion—tools that help people not just know what to do, but feel ready and able to do it.
Trey quickly realized that it wasn’t just about bodies—our thoughts, feelings, environments, and relationships all shape our health. That curiosity sparked a deeper dive into human behavior: why we get stuck, what helps us move forward, and how we can feel more like ourselves again. From there, his ability to help people reach their goals skyrocketed.
Trey knows what it’s like to feel uncomfortable in your body and overwhelmed about how to change that. He also knows how to make that all-important shift from knowing what to do to actually doing it. Trey puts all this expertise into his Simple articles, so you feel understood, empowered, and ready to take action.
In his spare time, Trey makes tiny clay models, spends hours walking in the Welsh rain, and drums in a Brazilian samba band (also often in the Welsh rain).
