Bio

Dr. Krista Scott-Dixon is a specialist in designing evidence-based nutrition and health behavior change programs. Before joining Simple, she served as Director of Curriculum at Precision Nutrition (PN), where she led the development of the PN Academy and PN Certifications, including their Level 1 and Level 2 Master Health Coach Certifications and the Level 1 Sleep, Stress Management, and Recovery Certification. She also consulted on the development of PN’s ProCoach coaching software. Before her time at Precision Nutrition, Dr. Scott-Dixon was a researcher and faculty member at York University in Toronto. She has more than 20 years of experience in fitness and health coaching, and 10 years of university teaching and course direction.

Throughout her career, Krista has combined hands-on coaching with deep academic training, including advanced CBT-TEAM, biopsychosocial approaches to counseling, and certifications in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy for Eating Disorders. She’s also trained extensively in motivational interviewing and sports psychology, adding breadth and depth to her approach to behavior change. Over the years, she has lectured and taught across North America, the UK, Ireland, China, Australia, and Southeast Asia, and consulted for a wide range of organizations in the health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness industries.

She is also the author of several books and co-author of textbooks such as The Essentials of Nutrition Coaching for Health, Fitness, and Sport, Pre- and Post-Natal Coaching Certification, and The Menopause Coaching Specialist Certification, along with an extensive list of academic publications, book chapters, articles, and reports.

Outside of work, Krista is working on her Russian and Spanish while hiking in the woods of Vancouver.
